Welcome to ?Tying the Knot?, a newsletter for Jewish singles and matchmakers. The newsletter?s goal is to create a forum for shidduch (matchmaking) issues. There are many questions, opinions, and halachic (Jewish law) issues involved in the shidduch process. This newsletter is intended to help make the process more effective for both singles and shaddchanim in their effort to find zivugim (soulmates). Additionally, it gives everyone a chance to voice their opinions, concerns, and advice.

In future issues we hope to provide many articles with advice from shaddchanim and singles, inspirational messages from Rabbonim and Jewish community leaders, Devrei Torah, book recommendations, dating etiquette and halachic views. We will also include contributions from singles and shaddchanim about their positive and negative experiences, comedic experiences, questions, complaints, and compliments. In order to keep everyone connected, there will be updates on shidduch groups and singles events across the nation. Success stories, advertisements, and advice on how to improve the shidduch process, can be found throughout the pages.
